Unique Opportunities

One of the things that I like best about working at Observant LLC is the constant challenges faced in market research.  As a company, we are constantly pushing ourselves to come up with innovative strategies to help our clients meet their needs.  Working as a team, creative ideas are encouraged and suggestions are always welcomed.  As analysts, we have the unique opportunity to be involved in the different stages of a project’s lifetime.  Whether it is contacting vendors to set up research dates, or helping develop a questionnaire, or contributing to reporting, analysts are given the opportunity to contribute and grow within the company.

Of course no company would be successful without quality people, and Observant LLC seeks out intelligent and caring people to join the company.  Other members of the company are always willing to offer assistance on a project and go the “extra mile” to help colleagues.  Not only do people get along well during business, but they also get along socially which I think it speaks volumes about the quality of people at Observant LLC.  As a company we have held several social events such as F1 racing that fosters a team environment, making Observant LLC a more enjoyable place to work.

Month One Reflection

While researching employment opportunities at consulting firms, I discovered that there were many marketing consulting companies in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. However, one company stood out from the rest for me. This was Observant, LLC. Throughout the recruitment process, I met a majority of the Observant employees, who were bright, intelligent, hard-working, helpful, and team-oriented. These were characteristics that I sought when thinking about people that would be my future colleagues. I felt a good vibe from everyone that I encountered at Observant, LLC, and was sure that this company was a place where I could learn alongside colleagues and deepen my knowledge of the marketing practices and challenges of top competitors in the pharmaceutical industry.

The company culture also pleasantly surprised me. It is a culture where delivering high-quality work to clients is the norm, but there is also a strong focus on employee well-being, knowledge development, and teamwork. After becoming acquainted with Observant’s employees, the company culture, and the company’s strong track record with clients, I was excited to join Observant, LLC as an Analyst.

Since joining Observant, LLC, my experiences have far exceeded my expectations. Whether working with colleagues on a new project or preparing materials for clients, I feel that I am learning and developing my knowledge everyday. It is also a good feeling to know that I am supported in my endeavors by a team of talented and hardworking consultants.

A commitment to Learning

Observant LLC is an energetic environment, with teams working together to develop the highest level of insights for our clients.  To do this, we have to continually learn.  I have personally had the opportunity to learn about completely new therapeutic areas and methodologies in a supportive setting.  When I’ve been faced with a new therapeutic area, other team members have sat down with me and explained the key terms and concerns of that area that helped my own background learning.  In some cases, outside experts have been invited in to school the entire project team.  This strong commitment to the knowledge base of each team member is important to me as a professional researcher who enjoys pushing the boundaries of my own comfort zone.

I really enjoy working at Observant LLC because I am able to work with a staff of extremely experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are willing to share their knowledge. Health Care Focus

After finishing college and graduate school, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for in a job. I knew I wanted to work in health care, in a fast-paced environment with other like-minded people. I also never saw myself as someone always being chained to my desk, so the ideal job would include at least some degree of travel.

From the beginning, working at Observant has given me the opportunity to be a team player on many exciting projects. I immediately began learning about market research while furthering my understanding of health care and the pharmaceutical industry. Over the past year, my favorite aspect of the job has been talking to physicians and patients all over the country and then turning their experiences and stories into detailed, visual reports that meet and often exceed the needs of our clients.

Because we work with different people at all levels of the company with each project, I continue to learn from my colleagues while being able to share what I know. Working with a group of dedicated, intelligent and fun people makes the daily grind less so and the travel, social events and general atmosphere all the more enjoyable.
